My Little Plant
Are you worried about the planet? You can now follow the weather in the Amazon Forest while you take care of a typical plant from the region. My Little Plant Guarana is a game in which you get a seed to take care of until it becomes a beautiful tree. In order to achieve that, pay attention to the Amazon climate conditions, get rid of bugs, get the little stars and use the tools to make your plant grow stronger. At the same time you get Amazon weather updates in real time.

NDG Open Source
Released Nokia Data Gathering as open source. The software has two parts: a server-side tool that can be used to create forms and maintain a database, and a handset client for field workers to use for mobile, in-the-field data collection. Both pieces are licensed under the GPL version 2.

Avesweb
This site creates a ‘bird list’ of Amazon species given a selected point on the map. It is written using Mapscript and Mapserver and uses a spatially enabled PostgreSQL database

PPBIO
In 2004, during first stage of the creation of the Research Program in Biodiversity (PPBio), the Ministry of Science and Technology prioritized the distribution of Biodiversity data. The site uses Plone with some customisations done in Python.

TV Fillers
